WHAT WILL WE LEARN?

NEW! Through a tour of the museum’s collection, and primary source analysis with artifact handling, investigate globalization. Students will delve into the connections between aviation and globalization looking into history and current events. Aviation changed global economies and trade, created new opportunities, but also presented the challenges of globalization. Students will also learn about a variety of career options both in aviation industries and museum studies. 

This program is new for fall 2025, we are now accepting bookings.

  • Price per class of up to 40: $360
  • Additional price per student past 40: advance payment required, $9/student
  • Program duration: 120 minutes
  • Format: guided tour, discussion, and artifact handling with primary source analysis
  • Maximum capacity: 50
  • Adult supervision requirement: 1 adult per 10 students, minimum 2 adults 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Programs are available Monday - Friday during school hours
  • Programs must be booked in advance with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice
  • Cancellations or changes to a booking are permitted up to three weeks prior to your program without penalty. Cancellations or major changes with less than three weeks' notice will result in additional feed
  • Programs must be paid for in full before or on the day of the program, a 10% late fee may apply otherwise

 

Please note:

To book a school program the group of students and accompanying chaperones must be participating in an organizaed field trip through an institution accredited by Alberta Education or an equivalent from another jurisdiction. Cadet groups may also book this program for high school age students.
