Joined the Board of Directors in 2020. 

Liam O'Connell holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Alberta. He received his pilot's license in 1973 and currently holds a Commercial Pilot's License. He owns his own aircraft and flies regularly. He flew with Vintage Wings of Canada BCATP tour and is passionate about aviation and its history. 

Liam has worked in the energy industry as a Project Manager / Director for over 40 years,  experience that included a Project Director role in a major energy company. 

Leam sat on the founding Board of Directors of the Red Deer Regional Airport Authority for 10 years, and also served as their first CEO. He has volunteered as a Director at the past 3 'Wings Over Springbank' airshows running the launch and recovery ramp. 

Liam brings board experience and strategic planning experience to the Board as he has worked in a number of roles setting strategy for various companies.
